I. Origin.
A. The Great Migration.
It was the year 2339 a.d. in the milkyway galaxy. Thirty thousand Bantu made a Grand Migration to the Mu-Vela System, due to the failing of an earth based space federation in the 24th century. The migration was chaotic and proposed to be in 2 waves of ten thousand each. A fourth added Migration was a deal made with the Egyptians and more freighters were added, which the Egyptians paid to have refitted, so that thirteen thousand of them could make the journey.

This last wave was a greater handpicked mix of scientist, military and technologically advanced personal than the other 3 waves. For their transport offworld they were supposed to support the building of the new home planet Ne-Bantu...

The last wave of 13,000 named themselves The Khem, a variation of the word Kem, after ancient Egypt. But during the transport the Khem, for some at that time unknown reason, hijacked the last 13 ships. And traveled to a different, distant star system. Betraying the agreement that had previously existed between the wealthy African Elders and Statesmen that funded the evacuation, and the Khem faction. This is where the term "never trust a Khem" originated.

Releasing only the 10 original ships, and the crew from all the ships, once they had reached their destination. They quickly started building their own society on a planet they now named Khmet Prime. Moreover, over the next 6yrs they evacuated another 117,000 from earth.

Any debate about retaliation against the children of Egypt was aborted. After a Ne-Bantu expeditionary force was sent to determine if Nu-Bantu vengeance upon the Khem was feasible, witnessed a weapons demonstration, showing that the Khem were suddenly technologically superior.

This was 326yrs ago. Now it is the Yr. 2775 a.d. and the Khem descendants, using the ancient technology that was "found" by their forefathers, and that has been absorbed over the last 3 centuries, explored their 14-planet solar system to emerge as a race of Techno-Mages.

The Khemetian grasp of science theory and technology is so great as to be akin to magic. They posses powers which are controlled by their force of will, with the only limitation being, their reliance upon Technology as a focus.
(Ex.... the Pharaohs Crook and Flail...a technological item that gathers and stores energies. Which is controlled by the Pharaohs will.)

These powers enable them to manipulate matter and energy, and the latent forces of the universe.... But this reliance appears to be gradually fading...
